Manhattan Knolls Shortline

Plan of the layout with some technical details:

John's layout is built on a number of 2x3ft frames each with its own adjustable legs.

The framework is covered (surpisingly perhaps) with 1/4" thick green plexiglass.

Track is constructed of code 125 nickel-silver rail soldered to 1/2 x 3 x 1/16 in brass sleepers.

Here we see how the layout fits precisely into John's deck. Operators use the 3x3ft well in the centre.

For weather protection sheeting is held on at the edges by 1 1/2 in pipe.
