The GPS III maps, Continental version, tested for the Netherlands.

In general there seems to be a slight abberation to the East. I compared the user grid information from the GPS with the Easy Travel CDROM, and some military maps, and driving around.
The roads are very crude. Mostly straight lines from crossroad to crossroad. This is understandable, the map being a vector drawing.
At a crossroad you may be off by less then 500 meters, but in between it is much more, sometimes up to several kilometers!

Bear in mind that a large roundabout may have a diameter of 1 km, so an error of 500 m will still indicate a point on the roundabout!

In general I am pleased by the details of the maps. Visitors of the Netherlands will have a good idea how to travel around, without any map, as long as you are looking for not too small cities.
But when looking for details you may be in for a surprise! I found a road opened only a few years ago, but also a railroad which has been removed at least 30 years ago. A new village is constructed there recently, I suppose most inhabitants don't even realise the railroad has ever been there!

*) This error is caused by the assumption that the roads go straight into town, while now the junction is outside town. An old situation I guess.
