Asterix and Obelix against Caesar had its opening night in The Netherlands on march 22. The film was originally in the French language, but for this release it has been rerecorded in the Dutch language. It also has a new Dutch language title song, which is a wonderful tune. This song, "Ze ziet me niet staan", is sung by Marcel Kapteijn, of Ten Sharp! The single is in the record stores since the 26th of march and has already been chosen as the 'paradeplaat' by Radio 2 for the week march 29-april4.
The film is not a cartoon but a live-action movie with a lot of special effects. It is very suitable for viewing with the entire family, the kids will love it. The director is Claude Zidi and the main characters will be played by Gerard Depardieu (Obelix) and Christian Clavier (Asterix).
