An acoustic, classic design by the rules of the old master Antonio
Torres. In the old days the guitar had a relative long and slim shape.
The old violin master Antonio Stradivarius
did build guitars based on this design. Antonio Torres was one of the first
luthiers that made the step to the current classical guitar shape. The
model in this picture is an intermediate design, with still a very slim
waist, but already a fuller body. This model is roughly from the period
around 1854. The finishing is for back, sides and neck; Cellulose Laquer
and "French Polish" for the Soundboard. This 'ancient' technique makes
the sound of the guitar very clear and transparent.
