Hi, my name is Caroline. I'm just another Dutch girl that decided to have her own homepage on the Net. I was born in Weert 34 years ago. In 1992 I moved to Eindhoven, a beautiful place to live. In november 1998 I moved to Germany together with my dog Farah, a young and enthusiastic 1,5 years old Belgian Shepherd (Groenendaeler) to live together with my beautiful boyfriend Hamada. So... we have a full house now. The two of us and our three dogs (Hamada also has two dogs).
Of course I also went to school to get educated. I studied a bachelor degree Marketing Communications. After I graduated school I worked at Philips, marketing communications department for almost four years. Two years as junior marketing communication manager consumer products. Then another two years as marketing communications manager professional lighting systems/elektro accoustic systems. Then I switched to the Press Relations department. I became Press Officer for a couple of product lines. In june 1996, I thought it was time for something completely new again. So I resigned my job and became a freelance journalist and copywriter. And I surely like that..... very, very much.
During the week end I like to go out: to the movies, theatre, pop concerts. And off course I also like to drink something in a pub. And... last but not least, I like to travel. The more, the better. I like sun, culture and action. In 1996 I went skiing in the Pyrenees in january and march. In september I went to Egypt (wish I could have stayed there forever) and in october I was at the beautiful Greek island Rhodos. In January 1997 I went to Austria for a beautiful ski weekend with a couple of friends. In March, I went skiing again. This time a whole week to Slovakia with lots of friends from different countries. And in May I was in Croatia. There I sailed on an Elan 431 from Biograd via a couple of wonderful islands in the Adriatic see to the beautiful Makarska riviera. In September of that year I went to Greece for one week. We went to the Peloponnesos and saw i.a.: Delphi, Olympia/Olymbia, Sparta/Mystras, Mycene, Epidaurus en Athens while the sun was shining and the sky was really blue. Driving in Athens with a bad road map with so many cars around you is quite an experience! But... I'm still alive. Of course we drank some Ouzo's and ate all the fine Greek food like keftedes, gyros, steak, feta salad and so on, and so on when we were over there. We really had a great time. And first week of December I was out of the country again. I went back to Egypt, to Cairo and Alexandria. To visit some of my friends there. So... Hoda (thanks for introducing me to your nice friends), Ayman (next time you lose when we play billiards!!!), Ahmed (mister Cheese)... and last but sure not least Mohamed (for the great time we had in Alex and in Cairo)... thank you all for the wonderful time I had. Off course I had to go back to this beautiful country again. So I did in May 1998. Then I went to Cairo and Sinai. If you want to see some pictures that I made there, please click here. In December 1998 I went for two weeks to the big apple New York to do some Christmas Shopping. Of course I had to go back to Egypt in 1999. In March I was one week in Cairo. For my summer holiday I didn't make plans yet. Good advice is always very welcome!
